May 2016 Most Played and Favorites

May is over and I'm writing this post while the weather outside is the worst I've seen in a while with pouring rain and black skies. Sigh. Luckily most of May has been great and I have a lot of products to talk about!

As usual, this is a #teammostplayed post in which I show you the products I have been using all month, whether they're favorites of not. To know more about this hashtag, go over to Goldenvi0let's blog (here).

May has been amazing first of all because I married the man of my life. We had a very small wedding with our closest family because this was only part one of the celebrations. Nevertheless it was one of the best days of my life and we are ready for the next adventure overseas!

Of course the wedding was also a good excuse to finally find the perfect foundation. After trying a sample and having it applied at the counter, I bought the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light (with a good 25% off). My oh my where has this foundation been all my life?! It is the most long lasting and flattering foundation I have ever tried and well worth its price. It doesn't separate or break down in my most oily areas and it is imperceptible on the skin. I really recommend it and it is ow my special occasion foundation (it's too expensive to use everyday lol).

For the base I have used the Kiko Matte Fusion Pressed Powder a lot in combination with the Garnier BB Cream for oily/combination skin (I talked about this in last month's Most Played here), thanks to the extra coverage that the powder gives to the light liquid base. This is my typical warm months base and it works perfectly for an everyday look.

From Italy I finally received my Mulac Cosmetics order (here) and I have been using incessantly the Contour Powder Morfeo and it is the perfect shade for my skin tone. I have been preferring this to the Anastasia Contour Kit, to say how much I love it. To bring some warm glow to the skin I took out last year's staple bronzer, The Body Shop Brush on Bronze. I love these pearls immensely for their color and the glow they give, though I find the packaging and loose bead form really inconvenient.

For the eyes I have been using Nabla Underpainting Creme Shadow as a primer applied with my finger or a synthetic flat blush from the lid to my eyebrows. A little goes a long way and it does a great job of covering up any veins I have started to see on my lids and it keeps my shadows from creasing for good eight hours. On the brow bone I have been using exclusively Makeup Geek Mirage eyeshadow (post here), which is the perfect yellow-toned satin shade to highlight the area without shimmer.

So here were my most played products of the period, and most of them have become favorites as well. What have you loved this month?
